The TNIV, Today's New International Version, is a thoroughly accurate, fully trustworthy Bible text built on the rich heritage of the NIV. In fact, this contemporary language edition incorporates the continuing work of the translators of the NIV have done since its last update in 1984. But it also clarifies and updates passages and words to provide a more timely, contemporary English translation for a new generation of Bible readers. While older forms of English may not present a problem for some readers, they can present barriers to understanding and fully engaging the Bible for today's generations who have grown up using more-contemporary English. Explore some of these improvements reflected in the TNIV text.
