God knows life can be difficult and He has given many promises and words of encouragement for those who belong to Him. 

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  (Psalm 46:1)

My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.  (Psalm 119:50)

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me.  (Psalm 138:7)
